Our acro classes will help you build strength and flexibility! Learn and progress in skills such as handstands, splits, and basic tumbling like cartwheels and walkovers. Great for injury prevention and building a solid foundation for all your other skillsets.

 

Acrobatics – Our Acro classes follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus which focuses on proper progressions & technique in skills such as backbends, handstands, and basic tumbling such as cartwheels.

Flexibility – Flexibility is achievable for everyone. This class is designed to increase your mobility, range of motion, and reduce tension across your body, which is especially important if your goal is to achieve more flexible acrobatic poses! 

Stretch & Strength – This class combines deep stretching with targeted strength-building exercises to improve flexibility, stability, and overall body awareness. Expect a mix of dynamic and static stretches, core work, and conditioning drills designed to support injury prevention and enhance performance in any movement practice. How is this class different from our Flexibility class? This class will offer a bit more strength based exercises to compliment the stretches, where as our Flexibility classes only focus on gaining more mobility through various stretching techniques. 

Contortion – Our Contortion class focuses on the gradual development of high range motion for both flexibility & strength based contortion skills. This class if heavily focused on bridge work and backbend related skills. Students will also learn a variety of basic contortion skills such as scorpions, cheststands, and hand balances! This class will follow a few different curriculums. The Alixa Flexibility Stretching program, Acrobatic Arts & our in-house Contortion curriculum, all of which are proven and safe approaches to learning contortion.

 

Pre-requisites

Acro Inter/Adv – must be able to stand up from Bridge, Bridge Kick-Over, Handstand Forward Roll, and hold a Forearm Stand.

Contortion – must be comfortable inverting upside down and can hold a bridge position. 

 

Attire

Bare feet and athletic wear. Clients are encouraged to bring yoga blocks and stretch bands.
